The 2011 Ford Mustang, powered by a new 305-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 and equipped with the optional 6-speed automatic transmission was officially rated by the EPA at 31 mpg highway and 19 mpg city. According to Ford, the 2011 Mustang V6 is the first car to be rated at more than 300 horsepower to also receive an EPA highway rating of more than 30 mpg.
