Lexus will debut the CT 200h, a compact 5-door hybrid this week at the Geneva Motor Show. The first compact from Lexus, the CT 200h will go on sale throughout the world in the fall of 2010.

Combining a 1.8-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor, the CT 200h is expected to deliver the power of a 2.0-liter engine but with low CO2 emissions, an important environmental consideration in Europe and other areas throughout the world. Described as a vehicle for those who wish to reduce emissions but not their lifestyle, the CT 200h features a double-wishbone rear suspension to help deliver sporty driving dynamics with the ride comfort expected from a Lexus.

For relaxed driving, the driver may select between ECO and NORMAL drive modes with SPORT mode offering a more dynamic driving experience. The CT 200h also offers an EV mode for electric-only driving that consumes no fuel and produces zero CO2 emissions.

Visually, the CT 200h retains much of the look of the LF-Ch concept that debuted at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, further evolving the Lexus L-finesse design language.
