A Hugger Orange 1969 Camaro Indy 500 pace car replica is a rare collector car today and Chevrolet will once again offer a few select buyers the opportunity to own a piece of racing history with a limited production of 2010 Camaro Indy 500 Pace Car replicas.

For the first time since 1993, a replica of the Camaro Indianapolis 500 Pace Car will be offered.  Based on a 2010 Camaro SS with the RS appearance package, the replicas are powered by a 400-horsepower 6.2-liter V8 engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission and remote start.

Painted Inferno Orange with full-body White Pearl Rally Stripes, the 2010 Camaro Indy 500 replicas feature Indy 500 logos are on both doors and embroidered in the front seat head restraints.

“We set out to build a collectible vehicle that will appeal to the die-hard Camaro and Indianapolis 500 fan,” said Jim Campbell, U.S. Vice President, Chevrolet Marketing. “We believe we’ve done just that with the 2010 Chevy Camaro Indianapolis 500 Pace Car Limited Edition.”

Up to 200 Camaro pace car replicas will be offered through top Camaro selling dealers at a price of $41,950. The 2010 Camaro Indy 500 pace car marks the fourth time that Chevrolet has offered a Camaro pace car replica. Camaro pace car replicas were also offered in 1969, 1982 and 1993.
