Ferdinand A. Porsche, 911 Designer, Dies at 76

Ferdinand A. Porsche, designer of the original Porsche 911,perhaps the most iconic car of our times, died on Thursday in Salzburg, Austria. He was 76.  The classic design became the very symbol of Porsche, a company founded by his grandfather, then run by his father.
